Hi readers, it's David Parker here from Kernel Kravings, the Dallas-based writer and popcorn connoisseur. I'm excited to bring you some of my favorite popcorn maker recipes for kids. I guarantee that your kids will love them as much as I do!

When it comes to fun in the kitchen, nothing beats making popcorn with the family. Using one of the many popcorn makers on the market can be a great way to make delicious snacks in no time. Here are three of my favorite recipes that your kids can easily make on their own:

  1. Cheesy Popcorn: Using a basic popcorn maker, children can make a delicious cheesy popcorn mix. Simply mix 1 cup of popcorn kernels with 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup melted butter and add it all together to the maker. Give it a few minutes and the cheesy popcorn will be all set and ready to eat!

  2. Chocolate Caramel Popcorn: For an extra special treat, kids can combine 1 cup popcorn kernels with 1/4 cup caramel bits, 1/4 chocolate chips and 1/4 cup melted butter. Then all you have to do is mix everything together and add it to the popcorn maker. In no time, you'll have a tasty chocolate caramel popcorn!

  3. Marshmallow Popcorn: Kids love sweet snacks and marshmallow popcorn is one of the easiest and most delicious recipes out there. With a the popcorn maker and just a few ingredients, any child can make this treat in no time. Start by combining 1 cup marshmallows with 2 tablespoons of butter and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Melting the marshmallows and butter together, then adding it to 1 cup of popcorn kernels and adding it to the popcorn maker, will produce a delightful marshmallow popcorn.

These are just a few of my favorite recipes for the popcorn maker that kids can easily make on their own. There are so many more out there and I'm sure it won't be long before they start experimenting and inventing their own popcorn creations!
