Hello fellow popcorn lovers! I'm Steven Fox, the creator of Kernel Kravings and a Fort Worth native. As someone who loves pouring over recipes to find the perfect microwave popcorn fix, I recently found an amazing trick that I can't believe I hadn't stumbled onto sooner.

Today I want to share with you my method for saving money on microwave popcorn. The truth is, pre-packaged microwave popcorn can be unnecessarily expensive. For those of us who love to make a bowl of popcorn to snack on, this can really add up over time.

As a Kernel Kravings regular, you know how much I love experimenting with different methods of popping the perfect bowl of popcorn. What I've discovered is that you can save money just by investing a few bucks in some popcorn kernels. All you have to do is pour a scant 1/4 cup into a brown bag, fold the top, and place in your microwave for about 2 1/2 minutes. Voila! Perfect popcorn, free of any added preservatives and "flavoring," and all for the fraction of the price of packaged popcorn from the store.

I know I'm excited about the money I'll save with this microwave popcorn trick, and I certainly hope you are too! Be sure to sign up for the Kernel Kravings newsletter to get more of my exciting tips and recipes.
