Hey there popcorn fans, Christopher Rolfson here from Kernel Kravings. As someone who loves nothing more than a freshly popped bag of microwave popcorn, I'm constantly on the lookout for new and improved recipes. However, what I've recently discovered is that there is a dark side to having too much butter or oil on your popcorn.

Now, don't get me wrong, a little bit of butter or oil can make your popcorn so much more delicious. But, if you're not careful, you risk more than just a soggy bag of popcorn.

The hidden danger lies in the fact that the more butter or oil you add, the more likely it is that your popcorn will become a fire hazard. Some microwave ovens can't handle the high levels of heat generated by too much butter or oil, and this can cause your popcorn to start a fire.

The key to enjoying your popcorn is to have just the right amount of butter or oil. Of course, this is easier said than done, and it's why I'm always on the lookout for new popcorn recipes and cooking tips. I want to make sure that you can enjoy the full flavor of your popcorn without any of the hidden dangers.
